This is the first post of 2025 and it is a meta. It should be obvious by now that participation with the audience is a concern for
. Publications don’t function without an audience, and that’s why we aim to keep you apprised of what is going on. Hope your holiday time and New Years were good, by the way.Over the break we had some meetings. There were chats with former contributers, future contributors, and friends/fans alike. The feedback was good. It was also good to take the time to sort out what our directions will be for the future. There is much in store.
The usual posts willl happen. We will continue with the Monday morning regulars and adorn the week with intermiscent bonus content. The focus will still be on the specific content that highlights our contributors main areas of interest. This year we will try to also focus on making more posts that stand the test of time. The internet is rife with ephemoral content. We would like to make posts that are worth revisiting.
we are also planning on launching audio content. We have short —10-15 minute— productions in the works. They will be just short segments on a topic that is easily digested on a quick drive to work. We are also working towards doing a regular audience interaction with one of our authors. After an article is posted, we want to host a Q&A session to answer questions about the post. The working title for that effort is “Corresponding with Theorists”. That name may change.
There is a lot to do still, and not everything is perfectly worked out. This is a ground-up effort. But we are sorting it all as best we can.
We also have some new contributors ready to go. The more voices we have, the better the discussion will be. So be ready for some new names. I think you’ll enjoy their poitn of view.
We are still looking for contributors. If you would like to submit an article, hit us up here or on X.
Thank you for the support over the last few months. Being the new kid is not easy and your engagement and following is much appreciated.
Get ready. This next year is going to be even better.
Cheers,
Jeff
